Sports: Mikel Leads Chelsea Midfield Against Lukaku’s Everton

Nemanja Matic returns to the starting line-up alongside John Mikel Obi with Cesc Fabregas expected to play in a more forward role.


Oscar is the player making way with Willian and Pedro continuing as the wide attackers. The defence is unchanged. Diego Costa leads the attack.

For Everton, there are returns to the starting line-up for Bryan Oviedo in defence with John Stones moving back to the centre, and for Kevin Mirallas and Aaron Lennon as the wide players.

Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation: Courtois; Ivanovic, Zouma, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Mikel, Matic; Willian, Fabregas, Pedro; Diego Costa. Subs: Begovic, Cahill, Baba, Loftus-Cheek, Oscar, Kenedy, Remy.

Everton are expected to line-up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation:

Howard; Oviedo, Stones, Jagielka, Baines; Besic, Barry; Lennon, Barkley, Mirallas; Lukaku. Subs: Robles, Funes, Pienaar, Cleverley Deulofeu, Osman, Kone.
