Gossip & Gists: Beyonce Hits 800,000 Downloads In 3-Days; Rihanna Furious!

Beyonce took fans by surprise when she released a 32 track album on iTunes which has now made history as the fastest ever iTunes seller with more than 800,000 downloads in 3 days.

 

One person is reportedly angry about this and this is Rihanna. Reports claim she is furious that Beyonce intentionally tried to upstage the video for her #1 hit with Eminem Monster. Her video is dropping today but its no match for Beyonce’s whooping 17 videos.

“Rihanna and Beyonce have always had a very cordial [relationship], but they are definitely competitors,“I think Beyonce is jealous of Rihanna. First there were those Jay Z [affair] rumors, and lately people are acting like Rihanna [is] the top girl in the game. . . . Considering that the pair share the same management, there could definitely be some angry phone calls flying, courtesy of BadGalRiri. In their defense, there’s a great chance that Rihanna’s team was completely in the dark about the whole thing, along with pretty much the rest of the entertainment industry.

Rihanna is on the cover of this month’s Rolling Stone magazine talking about her relationship with Chris Brown.

She says no one, not even her BFF Melissa was allowed to talk to her about Chris Brown.

“I just felt like, why bother? Nobody else is going through it. Nobody would understand.”

Is Rihanna mad at Chris Brown?

“I wanted him to know what it felt like to lose me. To feel the consequences of that. So when that (stuff) came back it hit me like a ton of bricks. Like, God, you’ve got to be kidding right now. But I got real with myself, and I just couldn’t bury the way I felt.”

Did she think she would be criticized by the public when she reunited with Chris?

“But I decided it was more important for me to be happy, and I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”

“When you add up the pieces from the outside, it’s not the cutest puzzle in the world. You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about (stuff). We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”

Does she think Chris Brown changed since beating her?

“I know it comes off like that. And it doesn’t help. For a long time he was really angry, and he felt like he couldn’t get away from it, no matter what he did. But there’s so many reasons why I ever reconsidered having him in my life. He’s not the monster everybody thinks. He’s a good person. He has a fantastic heart. He’s giving and loving. And he’s fun to be around. That’s what I love about him – he always makes me laugh. All I want to do is laugh, really – and I do that with him.”

“Of course everybody has their opinion about him, because of what he’s done. That will always be there. But he made a mistake, and he’s paid his dues. He’s paid so much. And I know that’s not a place he would ever want to go back to. And sometimes people need support and encouragement, instead of ridicule and criticism and bashing.”

Does she support Chris?

“Wait. You think I’m here to rehabilitate Chris? No, no, no. That is not my purpose. Trust me. I could have done that from the jump if I thought that was my job. My job was to take care of myself – and I did. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t think Chris was ready. . . ”

“I know. And trust me – it makes me feel great to know that people care. I guess it’s just something that will show with time. There’s nothing I could say that would convince you right now. But we’re in a great place. And I can’t ever see us going back.”

On how much she will put up with from Chris Brown going forward:

“Listen, I’ll tell you right now: I don’t have to take it. If he gives me that again, here’s what I give him: nothing. I just walk away. He doesn’t have that luxury of f**king up again. That’s just not an option. I can’t say that nothing else will go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.

Gossip & Gists: Rihanna Obtains Restraining Order Against ‘Obsessed’ Fan

The ‘Stay‘ singer – who is currently rehearsing for her upcoming tour in Los Angeles – secured legal protection against Steveland Barrow, who was arrested last Thursday, February 21, 2013 after breaking into her neighbour’s home, which he mistook for the 25-year-old Bajan  pop star’s property.

A source told TMZ that the singer feared for her safety after the male fan told police officers that he was invited to her home and allegedly slept in a bed, which he wrongly believed to be hers. He also allegedly stole some items from the house.

A judge granted her a temporary protection order, prohibiting Barrow from coming within 100 yards of Rihanna, her workplaces and her properties. According to the singer’s lawyer, Barrow has been released from custody and is – understandably – nowhere to be found.

Rihanna previously had a restraining order against her on/off boyfriend Chris Brown after he beat her in 2009.

The couple reunited late last year and she recently opened up about why she decided to give their relationship another chance.

She said: ‘Of course everybody has their opinion about him, because of what he’s done. That will always be there. But he made a mistake, and he’s paid his dues. He’s paid so much. And I know that’s not a place he would ever want to go back to. And sometimes people need support and encouragement, instead of ridicule and criticism and bashing.’

Gossip & Gists: It Is Me Or Him, Chris Brown Jealous Over Rihanna’s Friendship With Drake

Rihanna and her on-and-off boyfriend Chris Brown have reportedly ‘barely spoken’ due to her relationship with Drake.The Stay songstress confirmed last month that she is back with her abusive ex Chris, who was charged with assault on her in 2009. 

The pair were effusive with one another at the Grammy Awards on February 10, but apparently their romance has quickly turned sour. It is said that the couple refused to acknowledge each other at the Playhouse Nightclub in Los Angeles last week.

Last year Chris was involved in a bar brawl with Drake in a New York City nightspot and the fight is said to have ensued when Drake passed a taunting message about Rihanna to the crooner. Speculation is rife that Chris is jealous over Rihanna’s current bond with the hip-hop musician.

‘Chris and Rihanna had a big bust-up at the Grammys over Drake,’ a source told E! 365. ‘She was messaging him [via text] and Chris saw and it didn’t go down well.’ Although Rihanna and Chris are not on speaking terms, it is assumed that they will quickly patch things up.

‘Since that night they have barely spoken and have been doing their own things,’ the insider detailed. ‘For now they have split up but they will probably make up at some point.’

Meanwhile, Chris has answered court papers filed against him by French male model Romain Julien, who is suing both him and Drake over their infamous fight.

According to the New York Post, in answer to the allegations against them “Drake says Brown and the club’s owners bear responsibility if the model was injured, while Brown fired back, blaming Drake.”
